British Gymnastics Update 24.09.20
We are pleased to confirm that children are not impacted by the changes announced by the government yesterday (22nd September). The restriction only applies to those aged 18 and over.
This ruling may apply to adults participating in ‘Team Sport’ specific elements of gymnastics. We are seeking clarification from Sport England and Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport on this and how the rule of 6 would apply.

Further to the government announcement yesterday, gymnastics is still seen as an exemption to the rule of 6. This means we will still be running our classes for both the Gymnastics Club and Gym Tots. There is no impact to under 18s.
We would like to restate that compliance with the 2-metre rule is essential to maintain between gymnasts and Gym Tot parents at all time.
Sport England have posted a statement “All organised activities for Children, including indoor team sports, will continue to be exempt from the rule of six.”
We are hopeful to have more information from Sport England and British Gymnastics shortly.
